  Deerfoot Office and Staff Cabin Deerfoot Lodge Camps approached Domokur Architects in 2015 to assess properties for a new camp in the southeast.  This would allow them to expand their outreach and manage waitlists for the original camp in the Adirondack Region of New York, which has been building "godly men in a Christ-centered community through wilderness camp experience" since 1930. Domokur Architects provided Master Planning Services for the new camp in Glenville, NC in 2016. After completing the initial development phases, including infrastructure and cabin villages, Deerfoot asked Domokur to lead the next phases of implementation for the design and construction of the camp office, staff house, basketball pavilion, and dining hall. Similar to the buildings at the camp’s Adirondacks location, built of traditional log construction, the design of the office and future dining hall incorporate log construction and detailing similar to the vernacular traditions of the Appalac

  The Design Innovation Hub (DI Hub) at Kent State University Opening in the fall of 2020, the Design Innovation Hub (DI Hub) at Kent State University operates as an open-access, collaborative maker and innovation accelerator environment, open to and serving the entire KSU campus. The 65,000 square-foot Di Hub is an adaptive reuse of the 1970s-era former Art Building at the center of the Kent Campus. To achieve Kent State’s goals of activating a campus-wide community of invention and facilitating cross-disciplinary communication and problem-solving, the renovated building features spaces to serve every step of the innovation/creation process. This includes hatchery spaces (for research), think tank areas (for ideation), prototyping labs (for testing), and makerspaces (for making). Unique to the collegiate makerspace typology, the DI Hub is also home to a significant dining component, which acts as an active campus thoroughfare that puts design thinking and implementation on display.

  Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Cabins As subconsultants to two engineering firms, Domokur Architects was selected in 2013 to provide Master Planning 30% Preliminary Design and Implementation Improvements to the Pleasant Hill Lake Park (PHLP) and Tappan Lake Park (TLP) for the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD). As part of the implementation, we worked with Hochstetler Log Homes, Ltd. to develop ten log cabins at PHLP, which were completed in the Spring of 2020.  The cabins are situated in a forested area along a cul-a-sac drive which creates a sense of community within this campground area. There are two sizes of cabins available for rent, a 6-person and an 8-person, one of each which provide accessible accommodations. The cabins are nestled in the forest with access to the 850-acre unlimited horsepower lake, trails and swim beach area.   Punderson State Park Lodge The Punderson State Park Lodge is a well-known nature and hospitality destination in northeast Ohio. Located in Newbury, this project included an in-depth assessment of the building envelope and the replacement of the exterior pool house rooftop patio. To evaluate the building’s envelope, Domokur Architects pored over multiple sets of existing physical documents and compiled extensive photo documentation of current conditions.  With the help of The Ruhlin Company (acting as CMR on this project) drone footage was acquired to help determine immediate needs of chimney elements quickly and safely. The team also assessed all elements adjacent to and integral with masonry conditions. Once the review was complete, Domokur Architects developed a matrix of all the needs and conditions and assigned appropriate repair priorities and costs. Tri-County Event Center Renovations Domokur Architects provided full architectural and construction services for the renovation of the former Wooster Beauty College building into a multipurpose event center for the Tri-County Educational Services Center . Conveniently located across the street from their headquarters, this event center makes a great addition to the Tri-County Educational Services Center’s list of resources. The event center features three large event spaces to accommodate district educators while they receive training for one of the many  services provided by Tri-County ESC . In addition to the three event spaces, the building includes two kitchens, several offices, and a conference room to satisfy the various needs of its users.  The facility opened for use in the fall of 2020 and Tri-County ESC is already using their new space to help create a positive impact in the community.
